Namibia

April 2022  |  Namibia

So this was the start. Anyone who has flown out of Portland International Airport will recognize this view. The obligatory PDX carpet shot. At this moment I had no idea where this boots would take me but I was as excited as I've ever been to find out!

After 3 grueling flights I landed landed in Windhoek, Namibia and on the ride to my hotel saw my first wild African residents. There was a large group of baboons walking down the side of the highway which totally blew me away! I'd never seen baboons anywhere but behind bars in a zoo! These guys, however were free to roam and roam they did! My driver said that it was an extremely common site. 30 minutes in Africa and mind already blown!
